We are a Catholic school, with an ethos based on strong Catholic values and a traditional Catholic education but with a genuine belief in inclusivity.

St Mary’s visits the church for a weekly mass for each year group. A full school Advent service is held and a whole school mass once a term.

To encourage our students to consider their place in the wider world, we engage in fundraising activities for various charities. We put on an annual show for local senior citizens, a Mufti day for Ebola and we support CAFOD.

We also work with the Youth First charity.  In a move to encourage our students to learn about social issues within the local community, our Sixth Formers research different local charities, and put on persuasive presentations.  A charity is then picked and match funding is received from Youth First.

When a student puts on the St Mary’s uniform they represent our school and we encourage them to be of service to the community both today and in the future.
