Our goal is to help our students feel safe, happy and secure enough to make good choices about their future lives, whatever form that might take. Our experience shows us that universities are interested in vocational experience and a range of life skills. High grades alone are not the answer to a successful career, or indeed a successful life.
The student is at the heart of everything St Mary’s plans for, and delivers. Our pastoral care is well thought through and well delivered, from teaching our students to cope with the stresses and strains that life can throw at us, to learning budgeting skills.
Within the arts curriculum we also teach all St Mary’s students interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, as well as tactics for successful job interviews.
A love of sport is encouraged to promote a lifelong understanding of fitness alongside teamwork.
